No more riding on the roof

As of 23 January 2009 the new authorities of the Ecuadorian Railway Company have stated that passengers are no longer permitted to travel on the roof of the trains or autoferros (including Chiva Express) on the railway route from Riobamba. Read more»

New species of Galapagos land iguana

A new species of land iguana, seemingly missed by Darwin 150 years ago, has recently been discovered on Isabela Island by a team of Ecuadorian and Italian researchers.
