Bagaces (Rincón de la Vieja and Tenorio, Costa Rica)

Description

A design hotel within its own 600 acre private reserve, an hour from Liberia international airport. The main building has a modern, open feel and houses the restaurant, reception and spa.

Activities

Activities include a mix of adventure and relaxation. For the adventurous, there is an extremely impressive canyon tour, which includes a series of zip-lines through the rugged Rio Blanco canyon. When the water levels are high enough, it is also possible to tube (similar to rafting, but without the paddles!) through the canyon. There are 12 miles of dedicated mountain biking trails, plus other self-guided walking trails. If you would rather relax, there are two private thermal pools and mud baths, three swimming pools and a spa.

Accommodation

Within walking distance of the main building are a series of private cabins, all brightly decorated with an industrial-chic, yet cosy, style and décor. Each has its own private terrace.
