A slice of luxury in a good central location. Set in a restored colonial mansion just a couple of blocks from the plaza central, elegant decor combined with friendly service make this one of the best options in town.

Accommodation

Each of the 43 spacious rooms is tastefully decorated in keeping with the colonial theme. There are many communal areas including a spacious inner courtyard and the suites have balconies overlooking the street. Despite its very central location, great measures have been taken to ensure that street noise does not affect guests' stay. It is the only hotel in the city to include the intelligent oxygen system in the room rate and excellent value for money.

The Aranwa is an excellent hotel and highly recommended. Our room was very nice with a balcony overlooking the street and a view of the mountains and the Plaza de Armas. The staff were a bit formal but accommodating and good. We chose not to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant because it was expensive and didn’t look all that exciting, but the breakfasts were very good. One of the best parts of the hotel was Eddy the barman who gave us a 30-minute course on Pisco and how to make a pisco sour - he was awesome! - HD (August 2019)
