Mendoza
Mendoza, nestled under the eastern flank of the Andes and whose tree-lined avenues give it a fresh feel despite the Mediterranean climate, is best known for its vineyards. In the surrounding countryside many wineries offer stylish accommodation to visitors. A road to Chile crosses a high pass and takes you through truly spectacular scenery.

Lodge/Hosteria - 200km south of MendozaA small lodge, 10km outside San Rafael, on a 900 acre property with vineyards, olive plantations and a golf course. There is a boutique winery, two swimming pools, a restaurant and excellent views.
Amerian Executive Hotel
City hotel - MendozaA good central hotel overlooking Plaza Italia, and a short walk from Plaza Independencia, with some floors dedicated to a particular winery. There is a rooftop pool and sun terrace, a fitness centre and sauna, a restaurant and a bar.

Resort - 85km south of MendozaA stylish hotel and wine development in the heart of the Uco Valley. The rooms and suites are modern with tasteful décor and a panoramic view of the Andes, vineyards or a lagoon. The restaurant specialises in gourmet regional cuisine, typical Argentine BBQ's (asado) are prepared in the quincho and wines can be tasted in both the wine bar and cellar. The sitting area is very cosy and the restaurant has wonderful views of the Andes and a large wine cellar. The lodge also has a full spa and there are bikes to explore the surrounding countryside.

Finca Adalgisa
Estancia/Ranch - 14km south of MendozaIn Chacras de Coria, not far from Mendoza. The main finca was built in 1916 and most of the charming décor still remains - breakfast is taken here. They have their own vineyards surrounding the pool and have wine tastings most evenings.
