Description

Ilha do Papagaio is perfect for those seeking an island hideaway retreat, reached after a 5 minute boat ride from Palhoça (just south of Florianópolis). A rustic family-run lodge on a private island covered with lush Atlantic forest with a number of nature trails and wonderful views across a bay. There are one or two small beaches tucked into rocky coves, the main one in front of the hotel's restaurant and bar. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, games room, swimming pool and spa.

Activities

Activities on offer include fishing, boat-trips to other islands, biking and snorkelling.

Accommodation

20 cabin-style rooms, all slightly different and full of personal touches. All have views of the mountains and sea, some have verandas and hammocks, and some have a cosy fireplace! All have private bathrooms and air conditioning.

It can be quite cool from July to August, and hottest from December to February (also the busiest time of year and more expensive with national holidays).
