Description

This was an important house in the early 1800s and is now an extensive hotel. The entrance lobby is very attractive, opening up to a pretty courtyard visible from the street.

Accommodation

The best rooms are at the front of the building, with balconies overlooking the lively Calle de la Calzada, the nearby cathedral and the Mombacho volcano in the distance.

Our comments

The colonial style and beautiful interior woodwork are an impressive feature of the hotel. Even if not staying there, it is nice to visit the bar for a drink.
