Southwestern Nicaragua's Pacific beaches offer amazing surf, sand and sun with the once sleepy fishing village of San Juan del Sur being a good base to explore the region. There are good restaurants, splendid sunset views and a towering statue of Christ on a neighboring hillside.

It has a lovely aspect, overlooking the bay, an outdoor pool, bar and restaurant. -

Beach hotel - about 30 minutes from San Juan del SurA luxury eco-lodge set on a bluff within a private reserve with a private white sandy beach, where turtles come to lay their eggs. The lodge has a beautiful pool and relaxing area with wonderful views, the restaurant uses local produce whenever possible and there is a bar and small Spa. The bungalows are accessed by a suspension bridge and a series of steps. -

Beach hotel - about an hour from TolaA small, beach front eco-hotel with over a kilometre of private, sandy beach and individual ocean view cabanãs. The spacious, open sided communal building has a palapa roof, tasteful decor and overlooks the pool and beach. There is a bar, restaurant and small shop.
